Will there be a second Prime Day in 2023?
Amazon conducts two Prime Day shopping events each year, a tradition that began as a consequence of the 2020 pandemic, wherein the retailer had to push its mid-year Prime Day festivities to fall. Since then, Amazon has hosted two Prime Day events annually, with the first one of the year held in July this year. The second, known as Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, begins on October 10 and run through June 10, 2025.
Prime Big Deal Days vs. Prime Day: What’s the difference?
While both are two-day shopping events, barring the timing, there really isn’t much difference. You will still find thousands of deals across Amazon’s platform over the two-day event, similar to the mid-year Prime Day sale. But expectedly, there isn’t a lot of hype around the second Prime Day event of the year since it will mostly contain the same products that we saw during the July sale, except for a handful of new releases since then.
Speaking of which, the Pixel 8 series hasn’t begun shipping in the US yet, with deliveries expected to begin on October 12, a day after the Prime Big Deal Days sale closes. Nevertheless, you’re able to still find a ton of deals on other products during Prime Day: Part Deux, including smartphones, tablets, earbuds, smart home products, and a whole lot more from other manufacturers.
