Summary

Boruto: Two Blue Vortexhas finally begun the long-awaited time skip that fans got to witness at the beginning of the series, and it is looking to be much better than expected. However, every chapter keeps reinforcingthe shocking first line fromBoruto: Naruto Next Generations.

Chapter #11 ofBoruto: Two Blue Vortexfeatured a beatdown of Himawari, Sarada, Konohamaru, and many shinobi except for Boruto, courtesy of the overwhelming strength ofthe self-aware Divine Trees. Although Boruto is the embodiment of what it means to be a ninja, the fact that he has Otsutsuki powers puts him in a different class than others in the profession and is exactly why he was the last person standing in front of Kawaki in the flash forward. Fortunately, though, there is hope for the world of shinobi as they face lifeforms superior to them in most aspects.

Every Boruto Arc Ranked From Worst to Best

The best Boruto arcs contain epic battles, character development, and captivating storylines that make it a worthy successor of Naruto.

Technology Could Be the Saving Grace of the Shinobi World

Facing Overwhelming Alien Threars, the Shinobi May Have to Rely on Science

The Ao arc and subsequent arcs showed how ninja tools could be helpful, especially since members of Kara, Eida, and one of the strongest characters, Daemon, were all technologically altered or manufactured. Kawaki also relies heavily on advancements from Amado. With Amado now freeing himself from Omnipotence and cooperating with Konoha, his genius with weaponry could be the saving grace of the ninjasas they take on such menaces. One important theme inBorutowas complementing traditional ninja fighting styles with technology, as shown by Naruto’s prosthetic arm, so it is very likely that the characters will include ninja tech in their arsenal.

Furthermore, ninjutsu is still proving to be effective even against Otsutsukis who can absorb them. Momoshiki was finished off using a Rasengan and Isshiki was fooled by a Shadow Clone, which demonstrates thatwit plus ninjutsu can overpower even the strongest of creatures. The story is gradually developing each character to become much stronger. Himawari is yet to master her new powers,Sarada hasn’t used the Mangekyo Sharingan yet, Mitsuki’s Sage Mode will definitely be necessary, and even Konohamaru is becoming increasingly relevant.
