Spoiler alert: The following article contains light spoilers from the Bridgerton books.
Summary
Based on the first three seasons ofBridgerton, it’s evident that once a love story is told, that character fades to the background, and if that’s the case for Eloise, the show already has the perfect character to replace her. The Netflix historical romance TV series, created by Chris Van Dusen, is based onJulia Quinn’sBridgertonbook seriesand follows the Bridgerton family in London during the early 1800s.Each season focuses on one of the Bridgerton siblings' romances, with Daphne’s love story transpiring in season 1, Anthony’s in season 2, and Colin’s in season 3.
Bridgertonshowrunner Jess Brownell previously predicted that season 4 would be ready two years following season 3’s finale.

Eloise, the fifth oldest Bridgerton siblingand the second eldest daughter, made her debut into society during season 2. However, unlike some of her other family members, Eloise didn’t want to get married and was hesitant to make any real connections with eligible suitors (except for Theo Sharpe, but that’s a different story).Eloise has been delaying marriage, but it will happen sooner rater than later, and when it does, one of Eloise’s younger sisters can replace her on the Netflix show.
Hyacinth Can Be Eloise’s Replacement In Bridgerton
Hyacinth Displays Some Of Eloise’s Character Traits
The first twoseasons ofBridgertondidn’t show much of Hyacinth, as she is the youngest Bridgerton sibling. Hyacinth began the series at 10 years old, meaning she is quite far from being introduced into society. However, Florence Hunt’s character started getting more screen time in season 3. Based on her emerging personality,Hyacinth is more similar to Eloise than previously thought, meaning she can replace her older sister afterEloise’sBridgertonbook storyplays out on the show.

In Julia Quinn’sBridgertonnovels,Hyacinth is described as smart, witty, confident, and outspoken, and all these traits are starting to appear in her character in the Netflix series. They are also all traits that Eloise has. Of course,Eloise and Hyacinth aren’t completely alikeas Hyacinth is eager to find love, while Eloise would rather change the world and attend meetings about women’s rights. Nevertheless, Eloise and Hyacinth’s select shared qualities indicate that once Eloise eventually takes a backseat inBridgerton,Hyacinth can take her place.
Bridgerton Season 3 Confirmed A Harsh Reality About Daphne’s Replacement (& S4 May Not Fix It)
Phoebe Dynevor played Bridgerton’s leading lady in season 1 but has been scarcely seen since then, and the show tried (and failed) to replace Daphne.
When Will Eloise & Hyacinth Get Their Bridgerton Seasons?
Benedict’s Story Is Probably Next
Netflix and theBridgertonproducers have yet to confirm whichBridgerton sibling will headline season 4. Thechoices are between Benedict, Eloise, and Francesca. Most believe Benedict will finally get his chance to shine in the upcoming episodes since his book comes third in the series and the show skipped over him to adapt Colin and Penelope’s romance. However, Eloise could very easily be next.
Althoughseason 3 ofBridgertonendedwith Eloise leaving with Francesca and her new husband, John Stirling, to Scotland, the TV series could feature a time jump in season 4 to fast-track Eloise’s story. Or,Netflix could delay Eloise’s romance until season 5 or 6— anything is possible. Whatever the case, the adaptation of Hyacinth’s book will almost definitely come inBridgertonseason 7 as her novel is the seventh installment in Julia Quinn’s series. Hyacinth is also very young, and it wouldn’t make sense to bring her tale to life before Benedict’s, Eloise’s, or Francesca’s.

What An Eloise-Centered Bridgerton Season Would Look Like
Eloise’s Book Love Interest Is Phillip Crane
Eloise takes center stage inTo Sir Phillip, With Love, the fifth novel in Julia Quinn’sBridgertonseries. After years of being hesitant to settle down and marry, Eloise finally does so in the fifth book, andshe finds companionship with someone who fans of the Netflix show have already met — Phillip Crane.Phillip is the brother of George Crane, the man who was the father of Marina Thompson’s unborn babies in season 1. After George died, Phillip stepped up and married Marina. In the books, Marina dies, and Eloise and Phillip become pen pals (and eventually fall in love).
In the books, Marina is one of the Bridgerton family’s cousins (not the Featherington family’s), which is why Eloise writes Phillip a letter of condolence after Marina dies, consequently prompting their romance.

SinceBridgertonhas already introduced Phillip, it’s assumed that the show will follow the novels concerning Eloise’s romance. However, given that the writers have already madebig book changes inBridgerton,Eloise’s story might look very different. She could have a new love interest, or her and Phillip’s journey may be completely different. Regardless,an Eloise-centeredBridgertonseason will feature Claudia Jessie’s character opening up to the idea of lovefollowing seasons of her wanting to find herself outside just being a woman who needs to marry a man. Hopefully, this will all happen after Eloise sees and changes the world.
The Perfect Sequel To Bridgerton’s Queen Charlotte Spinoff Is This 30-Year-Old Movie With A 94% RT Rating
Bridgerton’s Queen Charlotte prequel provided a fascinating insight into the series' characters and period – much like an earlier movie project.
Hyacinth’s Bridgerton Future Depends On How The Show Will Approach The Next Books
The Netflix Series Has Already Changed So Much From The Novels
Netflix’s approach to adapting the books has always been to do one per season, with season 1 followingThe Duke and I’s plot, season 2 depictingThe Viscount Who Loved Me,and season 3 revolving aroundRomancing Mister Bridgerton. So, it’s assumed thatBridgerton’s timelinewill continue using this method. However, since the historical romance show has already changed so much from the novels, anything is possible. Perhaps stories will be condensed and combined, especially since it takes so long to crank out episodes andBridgertonis only on season 4 (out of eight books).
The next couple ofBridgertonseasons will determine how Hyacinth’s (and possibly Gregory’s) tale will be told.
The next couple ofBridgertonseasons will determine how Hyacinth’s (and possibly Gregory’s) tale will be told. If the TV show continues to be successful, Netflix will undoubtedly keep renewing it, and Hyacinth will likely step into the spotlight in season 7. Only time will tell what Hyacinth’s future inBridgertonlooks like, though.
