Summary

Sara Lance actress Caity Lotz teases what may have been part of White Canary’sDCarc inLegends of Tomorrowseason 8. It has been over two years sinceLegend of Tomorrowseason 7became the unexpected conclusion to the Arrowverse spinoff series. Given all the changes going on at The CW with Nexstar taking over, the show was one of many that got canceled by the new network regime, andLegends of Tomorrowseason 8never happened.

Screen Rantrecently chatted with Lotz for her new film,The Lockdownfrom Tiger Style Media, where she also spoke a little bit aboutLegends of Tomorrowseason 8 if the show hadn’t been canceled. While Lotz was sad to see the Arrowverse drama end unexpectedly, the White Canary actor shared the following:

Split Image of Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) firing an arrow and the Flash (Grant Gustin) crying

Yeah, it definitely was a cliffhanger. I mean, after 140 or however many episodes, I did definitely get to explore a lot of stuff with her. But the way that they wrote the show, it was so much fun. There was always room for more because it was so bonkers, and you just do crazy stuff.

But I know we were going to be in prison, so the next season would’ve started off with us in prison. And I know the pregnancy wasn’t going to be a normal pregnancy, which is what I was looking forward to. It wasn’t going to just be basically what I am now - because now I’m eight and a half months pregnant, waddling around. They were going to make it a unique alien clone hybrid pregnancy, and the baby would’ve been something unexpected. Maybe one day we’ll get that Legends movie!

What Went Wrong With The Arrowverse

The Arrowverse is in the midst of its final run, but how did such an expansive shared universe come to such a sudden and disgraceful end?

Everything We Know About Legends of Tomorrow Season 8’s Story

SinceLegends of Tomorrowseason 7 concluded with a massive cliffhanger, season 8 would have focused on how the heroes would get out of their latest trouble, which, in this case, was being arrested by the Time Police. As very little was revealed about the Time Police in the finale,Legends of Tomorrowseason 8 was most likely going to reveal who is in charge of this organization and why they went after the Legends. It’s unclear exactly how long they would have been stuck in the so-called Time Jail, as it would have depended heavily on how many episodes they had been given by The CW.

While Nate Heywood, a.k.a. Steel, had exited the Waverider, a new hero was going to take his place since theLegends of Tomorrowseason 7 finale introduced Michael Jon Carter, a.k.a. Booster Gold, played by Donald Faison. Not only would Faison have become a series regular inLegends of Tomorrowseason 8, butBooster Gold’s costumeand other elements of his mythology would have been explored too. As Lotz mentioned herself, Sara and Ava’s child would likely have been born at some point inLegends of Tomorrowseason 8.

The Arrowverse may be ending withSuperman & Loisseason 4 this fall, but it would still be great to see the whole franchise get a proper conclusion, includingLegends of Tomorrow. Hopefully, the creative team behind the franchise will, at some point, come together in the future to either finish the Arrowverse through a limited series event, animation, or even a comic book. But until that happens, it’s interesting to learn whatLegends of Tomorrowseason 8 would have been if it had come to fruition.
