Daredevil: Born Again's Violence Goes "Much Further" Than Netflix's Original, Promises Kingpin Actor

In a newRotten Tomatoesinterview,theDaredevil: Born Againcastwas asked about the upcoming Disney+ series, and how far they can go in terms of the tone and violence in comparison to what they did with Netflix’sDaredevil. According to Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, there are things inDaredevil: Born Againthat go “much further” than what was presented in the Netflix series, as he stated the following:

Even thoughtheDaredevil: Born Againfootage at D23hasn’t been released to the public yet, there is already a lot of evidence that supports D’Onofrio’s comments. While Kingpin is back for the new series,Daredevil: Born Againis set to introduce one of Matt’s other dangerous foes, with Muse making his MCU debut. From everything that is known about Muse in theDaredevilcomics, it will be fascinating to see how they adapt the character to the world of live-action, especially given he is one of Daredevil’s more inherently violent foes.

The ending ofDaredevilseason 3, even though it acted as a series finale, perfectly set up the evolution of Bullseye, whichDaredevil: Born Againis also finally set to take advantage of in the new series. Given how far they were able to go with Bullseye in the Netflix drama, it will be exciting to see how farDaredevil: Born Againis willing to go all these years later. SinceDaredevil: Born Againwill take place years afterDaredevilseason 3, time will tell how even more dangerous Bullseye has gotten by then.

It’s also key to remember that Jon Bernthal’s Punisher is also back for Daredevil: Born Again, showing theMCU is definitely not holding back on displaying some of the most violent players in the franchise. Then there is also the inclusion of White Tiger, who will also be able to add some great action pieces. Hopefully, before 2024 is over, aDaredevil: Born Againtrailer will have been released by Marvel Studios to give the audience a taste of what D’Onofrio is teasing about the series.
