More Pantheon Villains In Doctor Who Season 15 Is Very Exciting
Doctor Who Still Has At Least Eight Pantheon Villains To Introduce
The Pantheon are some of the most exciting villains in recent seasons of Doctor Who becausethey are just as powerful and cunning as the Doctor, if not more so. Every time The Doctor and their companions went up against a Pantheon villain, it seemed possible that the good guys could lose. The Doctor experienced an intense fear that was palpable for the viewers. These circumstances provide more tension and higher stakes that offer a bigger emotional reward when the Doctor defeats the villains.
Moreover,at least eightmembers of the Doctor Who Pantheonhaven’t appeared onscreen as far as we are aware(though it’s always possible a Pantheon member could be a familiar enemy or face). That gives the creative team many directions to go with the villains while maintaining a cohesive storyline with fewer plotholes than previous Doctor Who narrative arcs.

Doctor Who Season 14 Already Introduced (& Defeated) The Pantheon’s Biggest Villain
Despite the excitement about all the possibilities, theDoctor Whoseason 14 finalecreated a problem for the Pantheon going forward. The Doctor has already met, fought, and defeated The Pantheon’s biggest villain. Sutekh was the god that both the Toymaker and Maestro feared more than all others. If The Doctor could already defeat The One Who Waits, they would have no problem beating future members of the Pantheon. The lowered stakes of the villains could make the episodes less exciting. However, two sets of Pantheon gods could be the solution.
Sutekh mentioned the Threefold Diety of Malice, Mischief, and Misery. It’s unknown whether this means a single god or three, but in either circumstance, triple the power could make the villain more threatening to the Doctor. Additionally, the Doctor could face extra issues when going up against Incensor’s twins, Dread and Doubt, because there’s more than one enemy to face at potentially the same time. Hopefully,Doctor Whoseason 15 will continue to make the Pantheon villains dangerous in their own right, even if they aren’t the most feared members of the group.
