Dragon Ball Daimaepisode #5will see Goku’s adventure continue with a new ally in tow–the Masked Majin, AKA Panzy. The Masked Majin is a spunky and heroic figure in the Third Demon World, bravely standing up to Gomah’s henchmen, even if she wasn’t the most effective.

Episode #4 ofDaimasaw Goku’s group recovering from the loss of their plane and taking some… unconventional means of travel to keep going. Goku also discovered some wondrous new items that will surely help them on their journey, as long as Glorio andthe Supreme Kaiwill be able to stomach them. Naturally, the team also had to deal with some adversaries along the way, before finally reaching the next town, where Gomah’s men were found shaking down the townsfolk. That’s when the Masked Majin intervened, and Goku came to her aid.

When Do New Episodes of Dragon Ball Daima Release?

New episodes ofDragon Ball Daimadebut each Friday on Crunchyroll at 10 AM Pacific Time, or 1 PM Eastern Time.Thus, fans can expect episode 5 to premiere on June 22, 2025, at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET. It’s not currently known if Daylight Savings Time will affect the premiere time going forward. As new episodes are being released very close to their Japanese release time, they are initially only available in Japanese with subtitles. An English dub is confirmed, but likely won’t begin streaming until November 2024, when the first three dubbed episodes will premierein a theatrical event in the US on November 10-12.

Goku Experiences the Dangers of the Demon Realm

With their plane stolen at the end of the last episode, Goku,Glorio, and Supreme Kai had to travel on foot for a while before finding an outpost where they could eat, and where an old man had a rather unique means of transportation that he was willing to let them use, the Sky Seed. Blasting off like a rocket and impossible to control, the team was able to travel quite far in a short period of time, but were forced to bail before the Sky Seed crashed into the Sea of Darkness, flying the rest of the way under their own abilities. Along the way, they confronted enemies of both the humanoid and monstrous variety.

Arriving in the next town, the group discovered that Gomah’s military police were extorting the townsfolk, forcing them to pay an exorbitant fee, or pay with their own lifespan if they didn’t have the coin. As they watched, a mysterious masked figure attempted to defeat the villains, but when her bomb failed to detonate, Goku was forced to step in and save her, defeating many of the henchmen and getting himself labeled as a fugitive for his efforts. After leaving town, the masked figure caught up to them and revealed her face to them, seemingly ready to join their cause.

What to Expect in Dragon Ball Daima Episode #5

Getting to Know Panzy, Goku’s Newest Ally

Episode #5 ofDragon Ball Daimais entitled “Panzy,” named for the masked hero’s true identity. With the Masked Majin now unmasked, the episode seems like it will be centered on getting to know Panzy and her reasons for so boldly standing against Gomah and his men, even when she’s so under equipped. It looks like the story will be catching up with Gomah in the next episode, possibly with him finding out that his men were so severely defeated. Also shown in the preview is a mysterious, shadowed figure, who appears to be playing golf with a skull and a spiked mace.

With Goku having made an enemy of the military police already, travelthrough the Demon Realmmay become quite difficult, and Goku is shown having to fight another larger group of armed men in the preview, suggesting that the team will be fighting their way through from here on out. Aside from her heroic nature, not much is known of Panzy yet, and so it will be nice for the audience to be given a chance to get to know her better in episode #5.

Dragon Ball Daimacontinues to impress with its well-choreographed fight scenes and exploration of this strange new world that Goku finds himself in, where there’s always something bizarre around the next corner. Many of the goodies that Goku got his hands on could have some exciting impacts inDragon Ball Daima’s coming episodes, so fans are eagerly awaiting next Friday already.
