You will need to first find and defeat Igon to obtainIgon’s Greatbowand Harpoon.Arekkz Gamingon YouTube has a fantastic guide on how to complete the questline. The main focus of their video is how to get Dragon Forms in theShadow of the Erdtree DLC. As mentioned before, there are two methods to acquire Igon’s weapons.
Igon is first encounteredsoutheast of the Gravesite Plain. He grovels on the ground, shouting about Bayle, The Dread Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace. Once speaking to him, Igon will move south through the Dragon’s Pit and east to the Jagged Peak. After reuniting, he will ask you for helpbeating Bayle The Dread. Return to Igon at the Jagged Peak location to find Igon’s Greatbow,Igon’s Bell Bearing, and armor on his dead body.
Igon must be summoned to complete his quest during the fight with Bayle The Dread.
He can be summoned any time before completing Igon’s questline. When defeated, Igon will drop all his armor, Greatbow, and Bell Bearing. You will get the same items as if you had completed his quest. The downside is that you cannot use his summon during the fight with Bayle The Dread. While not vital, Igon acts as an excellent tank and often draws the dragon’s attention.
Suppose you have spoken to Igon at the Pillar Path Waypoint Site. He will be at his Jagged Peak location.
How To Get Igon’s Harpoon
Once you have acquired Igon’s Bell Bearing, either by completing his quest or by defeating him, head to Roundtable Hold.Offer the Bell Bearing Smithing Master Hewg the ability to purchase Igon’s Harpoon. These Greatarrows have an anti-dragon effect and are said to be made by Igon himself.
