Euphoria Season 3 Filming Start Is Great News (But Still Won’t Come For A While)
Following the lifting of the 2023 Hollywood strikes, the various stars of the show have offered hopefulupdates forEuphoriaseason 3, whilebehind-the-scenes reports have indicated that Levinson was re-shaping the seasonto accommodate the long gap and the actors' aging. The announcement does, however, come just a couple of months after it was reported that filming had been delayed indefinitely, even as HBO hoped for a 2025 return of the hit teen drama.
What Is Going On With Euphoria Season 3? Delay & Cast Problems Explained
Euphoria fans have been anxiously awaiting season 3 for a long time, and it sounds like they will have to wait even longer after additional delays.
But whileEuphoriaseason 3’s filming startconfirmation does indicate that the wait for the show’s return won’t be as painful as it has been for fans of the show,it still likely won’t be back on the screen in time for its previous 2025 release window. Filming for season 2 took upwards of eight months due to COVID-19 production restrictions, but even with those safety measures not being as prevalent in current productions, it seems likely that season 3 will take nearly as long to film.
Given there was then a two-month gap between the end of season 2’s filming and premiere date, it seems likely thatEuphoriaseason 3 won’t premiere until early 2026. There is a possibility that Levinson could work with his editors throughout production to ensure a quicker turnaround time and bring the show back for a late 2025 release. However, with how attentive to detail he’s known for being in previous seasons,it seems more likely that he and HBO will aim for a release roughly a year after filming begins.
