Summary
A young90 Day Fiancécouple has left viewers feelingimpressed with their communication skillsafter recent episodes. A major reasonmost90 Day Fiancérelationshipssometimes end before they can even begin is miscommunication. Most of the time, American cast members are unable to understand or speak their international partner’s language. They have to rely on their partner to talk to them in broken English, use a translation app on their phone, or worse, use a device that translates what their partner says to them into English. These translations have gone terribly wrong plenty of times.
However, that’s not the case with one90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?season 8 couple who had a heart-to-heart conversation in a new episode.

Reddit userMiddynight_5555posted about how they really admire Patrick Mendes and Thaís Ramone.
They explained how, at the start, evenPatrick and Thaís were using a translatorapp to be able to speak with each other in both Portuguese and English. The fan thought it was“impressive”that Patrick and Thaís had learned each other’s languages “so well,”as they demonstrated in90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?season 8 episode 17. The fan added that this new skill acquired by the couple will be helpful for their daughter Aleesi as well in the future.

Patrick And Thaís Can Speak To Each Other Without A Language App
Patrick Spent Three Months Learning Portuguese
Patrick and Thaís took a break from their ongoing family drama in Brazil to visit a place called Churrascaria Chimarrao. It was their first date alone as they’d left their baby with Thaís’ mom. Patrick told the cameras how the trip had been a lot harder than he thought it was going to be. With all the fighting between their friends and family, it put a lot of tension in their relationship. Patrick figured he needed toget away from everyone and have a date night with Thaís.They went to the place where they had their first date.
Patrick asked Thaís if she could remember their first date when they couldn’t even talk to each other. “We had to use our phones. Lots changed, huh?”he said. The date was awkward, since there was silence, and they’d kept looking at each other. Patrick worked very hard to learn Portuguese. He studied four to six hours a day for at least three monthsnon-stop. Thaís admitted that it wasn’t something that an American man would typically have done for a girl he didn’t even know. “That was so sweet to me,” Thaís gushed.
WhenThaís came to the U.S.two years ago, she didn’t speak any English. However, the90 Day Fiancéstar started learning by attending an English school in Dallas, but she wasn’t consistent due to her wedding and pregnancy. She moved to Las Vegas and started school while she was pregnant at eight months. Even after having a baby, she studied using YouTube. A year later, Thaís started school once again, and she is at a higher level. It goes to show how much effort Thaís and Patrick put in to make each other happy.
