The Fortnite Battle Pass Will Be Getting a Price Increase
Fortnite Has Experienced Several Recent Price Increases
The standardFortniteBattle Pass price is increasingfor Chapter 6, and the new chapter is bringing a lot of value to the game to compensate for the price jump. The price jump is relatively small, bringing the pass up from 950 VBucks per pass to 1000 VBucks. The price change doesn’t alter how players pay for the pass since packs of 1000 VBucks are available in the game’s store for $8.99 at the moment. However, the change is concerning since it’sthe first time Epic has ever changed the Battle Pass price in the seven years it’s been online.
This is especially true for certain countries, including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Nigeria, Vietnam, and the Philippines according to a post on theFortnitewebsite last month. Previous price hikes in 2023 affected other areas of the world, like the UK, Canada, and Japan, among others. Although a 50 VBuck increase doesn’t seem like much, the slow and steady price increase may indicate more changes to come in the pricing and content ofFortnite. It seems, at least, that the game will be making up for the price hike by providing fans with even more content in its chapters, like the fun things that will be added in Chapter 6.
