The Greens of House of the Dragon, Aegon, Aemond, Helaena, Alicent, and Otto.

2025 is gonna be utter madness from January like third until deep in the fall when we wrap production. We do [have a start date for production], I don’t want to say it because it’ll be a thing, but it’s first quarter 2025.

I will say, this is the best season to come. There is, it is as outlandish as Leavesden Studios has been with our show to date. We’ve outlandished ourselves this time around. So plenty to see, it will be a good one.

What This Means For House Of The Dragon Season 3

It Will Not Come Earlier Than 2026

The fact thatHouse of the Dragonseason 3is not going to wrap production into well into 2025 likely means thatthe gap between seasons 2 and 3 will be similar to that of seasons 1 to 2.House of the Dragonseason 3 could see a summer 2026 release by the time it finishes post-production and gets its marketing underway. While this is a somewhat predictable sequence, the wait will be disappointing to some viewers waiting to see what happens after season 2’s cliffhanger ending.

The promise of an “outlandish” season is perhaps the most intriguing tease within Condal’sHouse of the Dragonstatement. Season 2 certainly made some bold moves, kicking off its premiere with the brutal murder of a child. It also had a shocking betrayal in episode 4, “The Red Dragon and the God,” wherein Aemond causes intentional harm to his brother, King Aegon II Targaryen. By being more “outlandish” than this season,House of the Dragonseason 3 will have to raise the stakes even more.

Our Take On The House Of The Dragon Season 3 News

House Of The Dragon Can Pick Up The Pace In Season 3

Unfortunately,House of the Dragonseason 3’s production schedule makes it such that the show will not break the curse of long gaps between seasons. One can only hope that the more “outlandish” season 3 will lead to a next installment that is more engagingly-paced than season 2, which dragged on its drama in parts. So, there might still be a year and a half or more until audiences can seeHouse of the Dragon, but the hope would be that this extended wait is well worth it.
