WhatsApp announced the launch of its Audio Status feature on theWhatsApp blogon 29 July 2025. The feature was introduced alongside four other features: private audience selector, status reactions, status profile rings, and link previews.
The audio status feature allows users to post short recordings as statuses. These recordings can be up to 30 seconds long, and they will remain on your status until you remove them, or they expire after 24 hours.
