How to Report Someone on Twitch

Like any other online community, Twitch has its share of users who act up or break the rules. And that applies to creators as well as viewers. Thankfully, the streaming site has a robust reporting system in place, allowing problem members to be quickly reported and identified.

When Should You Report a Twitch User or Streamer?

The reporting option is available to tell Twitch moderators about users or streamers breakingTwitch’s terms of serviceorcommunity guidelines. This covers topics like using racist, homophobic, threatening, or abusive language. Reporting is also appropriate if you see spam messages, scams, nudity or gore, and self-harm.

You shouldn’t use the reporting tool simply because you disagree with another user’s opinion or dislike how a streamer plays your favorite game. If none of Twitch’s rules are being broken, you should take a moment to consider if reporting is appropriate.
