I am excited about Mavuika’s leaked animations inGenshin Impact5.3 in a way I haven’t been since I first saw Xiao in action back in Version 1.3.The Pyro Archon is expected to be one of the new playable characters in the action RPG’s Version 5.3update alongside the Pyro Traveler, for example. Mavuika has been a known NPC since before the arrival of the Nation of Pyro and since Version 5.0 she’s been an ally to the Traveler. Now, following several updates and character releases, Mavuika is listed among the leaked playablecharacters inGenshin Impact5.3.
HoYoverse has not yet detailed her as a character, but the beta tests for the patch have started and, with them, leaks about the upcoming content have started to emerge, too. The leaks also include mentions of the events taking place during the update, such as the annual Lantern Rite Festival. Of course,information about new characters tends to be the highlight of any beta test leak, and the ones regarding the Pyro Archon, her kit, and her animations are making me particularly excited to pull forMavuika inGenshin Impact5.3in a way that hasn’t occurred in years.

In a now-deleted video,the leaked set of animations used by Mavuika in Version 5.3 was showcased, highlighting how she moves around and fights her opponents when using her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst abilities. The video was obtained by the leaker known as Dim and then shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit. The leaked footage showed Mavuika using her claymore to strike in a very elegant and skillful manner, which goes hand-in-hand with the lore-related fact that she has been practicing that style for centuries inGenshin Impact’s Natlan region.

Genshin Impact 5.3 leaks have shown the new world boss arriving in the patch, and they may be the first human enemy of that category so far.
The leaked video also presented the two forms of Mavuika’s Elemental Skill. The first one sees her summon Rings of Searing Radiance, which follow the active character and somewhat resemble Raiden Shogun’s Chakra Desiderata. While not made explicit in the video, this ability, according to the character’s entry onHoney Hunter World, deals Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG to nearby enemies at a fixed interval – this can be used as an off-field sub-DPS ability.The second form of her Elemental Burst, as seen in the video, sees her All-Fire Armaments manifest as a Flamestrider, and her hair glows inGenshin Impact.
In this version of the leaked Elemental Skill, it’s possible to summon and ride the Flamestrider motorcycle, which increases her movement speed and allows her to climb up walls and even take flight, somewhat like Chasca. Additionally,this special state also transforms her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks to deal Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG, an effect that cannot be overridden, according to Honey Hunter World. While ridingMavuika’s mount inGenshin Impact5.3, the character will attack from atop the Flamestrider without necessarily leaving it. When sprinting with the Flamestrider, Mavuika deals Pyro DMG to enemies in her path.

As can be seen in the video and confirmed by Honey Hunter World’s description of her abilities, Mavuika’s Burst is not reliant on Energy, but on a mechanic called Fighting Spirit. When she accumulates at least 50%, she can unleash her Burst.She leaps with her Flamestrider into the air and executes a downward slash, called Sunfell Slice. This attack deals AoE Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG and sees her enter the Crucible of Death and Life state. In this state, Mavuika can use her special actions to deal Elemental DMG to opponents without consimong her Nightsoul points inGenshin Impact.
While her abilities are, technically, very attractive from a damage-dealing point-of-view, the character’s leaked animations may just be enough to entice me to pull for her.I’ve been tempted by several character releases over the years and have been heavily invested in expanding my roster of playable characters with units that have abilities I deem entertaining to use and visually stunning. This includes characters like Yelan, who is also my main sub-DPS, Xianyun, andArlecchino inGenshin Impact. All these characters’ animations and kits struck a chord with me, and so I put some effort into obtaining them.

However,there has only been one character that I’ve been completely obsessed with to the point of actually spending money to make sure I would get them at launch and not have to wait for a rerun banner: Xiao. The 5-star Anemo character from Liyue was the first that I actually connected with during the early stages of the game. Despite loving the gameplay and its variety, no character felt permanent in my team comps beforeXiao inGenshin Impact. I remember being stunned by his Plunging Attacks and HP-consuming damage, which felt very innovative back in Version 1.3.

New leaks about Genshin Impact 5.3 include details about the upcoming events and what looks like the Lantern Rite, which should make for a huge patch.
Over the years, I grew accustomed to new units revolutionizing the standard set in gameplay. Xianyun, for example, felt like a necessary pull, but one that I would accept to obtain in a rerun banner if I was unlucky with my 50/50. As much I love Arlecchino, I could also wait for her to rerun in banners.The feeling established by Mavuika’s leaked animations and gameplay kit, however, seems more like the one I had back with Xiao: an absolute must-have character, even if she is expected to be aPyro DPS inGenshin Impact, which I already have covered.
The uniqueness of her dual-form activated by her leaked Elemental Skill already seems great, and the visual effects that accompany it are amazing. Furthermore,the leaked footage confirms that Mavuika has one of the most broken mounts among the Natlan character roster, being capable of doing nearly everything each other mount does individually. If there were not enough, the ability to operate as a sub-DPS and main DPS is extremely enticing for team comps, as this offers great flexibility. Mavuika’s main fighting stance on her Flamestrider inGenshin Impactis also something to be reckoned with.
Genshin Impact 5.4 Leaks Show The Game’s Most Underrated Region Is Getting A New Character
There are leaks about a new character in Genshin Impact 5.4 and their Nation could mean a return to one of the game’s most underrated regions.
Mounts like hers are not exactly new to the game since they were introduced with Mualani and Kachina back in Version 5.0, but the animations for Mavuika’s combat are just extraordinary.The last minor piece of information that is shown in the video is her signature 5-star claymore, which is just beautiful. The combination of all factors, including the leaked claymore’s abilities, which can also be seen onHoney Hunter World, will force me to invest in both Mavuika and her weapon.

Despite the fact that leaks should always be considered with caution, I can’t help but feel excited for the release of Mavuika. Luckily, I haven’t pulled for anyone since Mualani, so I’ve saved up a hefty number of Primogems to invest exclusively on Mavuika and her signature claymore once the moment is right. Hopefully, Mavuika will become what Xiao has been for me until now: one of my favorite DPS characters to use inGenshin Impact, mainly because of their cool set of animations.
