At a press conference held after the Money in the Bank event, Cena detailed his retirement plan. The recentguest star ofThe Bearseason 3shared at the presser that he plans for his retirement torun from January 2025, including when WWE Raw moves to Netflix, until December. Cena noted that this would includeas many as 35 to more than 40 appearances overall,though he added that it would have to depend on scheduling.
Once that is over, Cena mentioned that he hopes to remain part of the WWE, though he will not be an in-ring competitor. As for why he’s chosen to step away from the ring, the actor was candid about how he feels that he can no longer compete at a high level. He said at the press conference, in part:“physically I feel I’m at my end.”He’d go on to say that, despite his wrestling retirement, audiences can expect him to remain with WWE for an extended period. Still, once he retires, Cena does not plan to appear wearing the jorts that he wrestles in.
