Whileplayers won’t embark on the pirate adventure until February 2025on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, this lengthy trailer gives an excellent idea of both fighting action and treasure hunting fans can prepare for.
For almost the past year, fans of the action-adventure franchise have been attempting to guess what the next title would be. That guessing game ramped up even further when Sega announced the RGG Summit back on August 28, which took place this morning, giving fans the reveal they’d been waiting for.

The revelation did come as a bit of an unexpected shock, as fans most likelydidn’t expect a pirate-beating adventure to make its way to the franchise, but given that Majima was wearing an eyepatch in some of the art this could have been assumed by keen fans. InLike a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, players will be able to seamlessly swap between two fighting styles, the “Sea Dog” with two short swords and the well-known “Mad Dog” style with a focus on speed and agility.
