With her bowl cut and edgy piercings, she has a hardened look that suits her apocalyptic setting.Her design is unlike any of the human Green Lanterns in DC’s main continuity, trading the usual Green Lantern Corps uniform for an occult cloak. While most Lanterns have a sci-fi aesthetic, Rina Mori leans towards the fantastical with her sorcerer-like appearance. Furthermore, she bears a notable resemblance to the Green Lantern of theTangent Universe, who wears the same cloak and channels her power through similar means.

Holding this staff could be the equivalent of having her power battery on her person at all times, which means she doesn’t run the risk of running out of charge like other Lanterns do. Her empowered lantern opens up new possibilities for what she can accomplish with her willpower, and it allows her to brave the apocalypse as the sole survivor of DC’s heroes.

One hero being the Earth’s solitary line of defense in a time like this seems bleak, but the narration of this preview establishes that Green Lantern was the strongest hero even in better days.
