There aretwo ways to get a Wish Machine, either bygoing through the main story questsorby building one yourself with the right parts. Crafting is a huge part ofOnce Human, as the game blends third-person shooter action with survival mechanics. Although you need to gather the right materials to create a Wish Machine, the pieces are fairly common once you unlock the blueprint first.
You gain the Wish Machine blueprint when youreach Tier 3 Ascendance under the Logistics Memetics menu, which contains several item formulas. The recipe for the Machine itself cannot be unlocked until youspend five Ciphers and 200 Energy Linkto make it available. Once you’ve done this, you can see the device in the Function Facility crafting menu located under Buildings and Facilities.
It costs 25Copper Ingot, 10Rusted Parts, 5Metal Scraps, 3Rubber, and 5Glassto make a Wish Machine inOnce Human. As youdrive around on a Motorcyleor other vehicle on your map, you may be able to find places where you can obtain these resources in abundance quickly. Those who are familiar with crafting other buildings may know which spots are best for farming these materials as they travel.
Try to find the basic resources needed to make a Wish Machine by salvaging trash on your map and using a Furnace to quickly refine other materials into the items you want.
The other way to interact with a Wish Machine comes fromdoing the"Complete Concept of Materialization"main story quest. This mission will put you on a path where you can encounter the Machine naturally as you head toward the Broken Delta area. Interacting with a Wish Machine gives you two options - to either"Make A Wish"or visit the"Blueprint Shop"on the device. Making a Wish takes you to a series of playable mini-games that let you earn Starchrom in a gacha-esque loop that gives you random rewards. There are six different mini-games you can choose from no matter whatworld inOnce Humanyou access the Wish Machine from.
The games are very simple where youspendStarchromto"roll"for random rewards. For example, the game called"The Long-Awaited"will see you smack a mole out of a hole every time you spend 100 Starchrom, giving you a random item or blueprint as a result. These games are all about RNG and luck, so you can’t try to grind high scores for greater rewards you know ahead of time.
Rewards from the Wish Machine are split into different pools that cost more Starchrom to roll from. For example, Legendary rewards are offered in the"S"pool, while Epic gear is usually given from the"A"prize pool, and so on.
Without any ability to anticipate what rewards you’re going to get, the Wish Machine acts as an alternative to grinding for specific rare drops. You canspend less Starchrom at the Wish Machine than you would in other shopswithinOnce Human, so the device acts as a backup option of sorts.
