How To Unlock The Laser Rifle
All New Crafting Materials Needed
The Laser Rifle is new and therefore most players will have abasic version of it to startwith. Unlike your other weapons, it may not start as the strongest weapon you own because you havemaxed out legendary versions of your old guns, and you are getting the most basic versions of the Laser Rifle. This can make for an interesting dynamic, but you will be able to get better versions.
Both the weapon and its ammo can be unlocked tocraft at Level 51, making it a late-game weapon due to when you can finally craft it for yourself. It is available in the Technology Tree and will cost six Technology Points to unlock both inPalworld.
TheLaser Rifle itself costs five, and the ammo (Energy Cartridges) costs one. The Energy Cartridges are a relatively low-resource ammo, and the Laser Rifle can hold a fair amount of ammo. That makes it more usable than other weapons, even if it is less powerful.
The base damage of the Laser Rifle you can craftonce unlocked is 1250, which is a hefty number. Itweighs around 18 and has a Durability of 3000. All of this makes for a potent weapon, even if it does not reach some of the same heights other new weapons have.
It is still early into the update, and we may find out how well the rarities or any upgrades scale with the Laser Rifle. That may well push it higher on lists than it already is.
How To Make The Laser Rifle & Energy Cartridges
Every Resource Needed For Crafting
Once unlocked on the Technology Tree, you will still have to actuallycraft the weapon inPalworld. This is now possible, as the tree gives you new recipes to build when you use it. You will need60 pieces of a very hard-to-get resource for this weapon and ammo.
This hard-to-get resource isPlasteel, which you need 60 of. This will prove one of the hardest challenges in the new update without any cheat codes inPalworld. Once acquired, you are going to want to ensure you aretaking the best care of both items as you’re able to to avoid costly replacements.

As you can see, the Energy Cartridges are cheap because youonly needone Electric Organto make them. That makes it cheap to keep the gun stocked. However, the Laser Rifle requires not just Carbon Fiber but also Plasteel, and that is one of thebig things that will make a difference.
How To Find Crafting Materials
Best Methods
You should already be somewhat familiarwithCarbon FiberandPal Metal Ingot. Both were available before the update and while challenging, they are familiar. To craft carbon fiber, you will need an Electric Furnace, Ore, and Paldium Fragments.Carbon Fiber is available at Level 35, making it a crucial late-game resource.
Carbon Fire is required for many high-level weapons and ammo;you will need it for the Laser Rifle as well. You can make it from Coal and Charcoal on a Production Assembly Line. You can alsopick it up fromJetragonandShadowbeak.

Plasteel one also requires an electric furnace, and you also need crude oil. This is the challenge; you must also build a Crude Oil Extractor to make it. This process takes a very long time, even with maxed-out Pals who supposedly make the job easier for the next person. While they are helping out, it is not optimized, and it still takes a long time for people likeVerlisifyto get a fair amount of it.
Additionally, as you need60 of them for 5 Crude Oil each, getting there will take a while. The only guaranteed way of getting this material is by crafting it yourself, which is time-consuming and tedious. In the meantime, you may explore the new update and enjoy catching more Pals than ever inPalworld.
