Peacock is one of the most versatile streaming platforms available on the market. With a plethora of high-quality blockbusters, live sports events, and fan favorites, Peacock is an essential streaming platform for many home lineups.
But with recent price increases, is Peacock’s price still justified?

How Much Does Peacock Cost?
Unfortunately for viewers, as streaming services become more popular, prices are increasing across the board. Following streaming giant Netflix’s footsteps from 2023, Peacock is raising prices to better suit current market demand.
The price will increase by $2 per month for every subscription tier. This change raises the Premium plan to $7.99 monthly and the ad-free Premium Plus option to $13.99 monthly. Additionally, the yearly subscriptions will increase to $79.99 and $139.99.

Unfortunately,Peacock retired its free tierback in 2023, which means paying more for Peacock is necessary if you do not wish to cancel.
It is important to note that a few titles on Peacock will always be played alongside ads, regardless of the subscription tier purchased. This impacts primarily live sporting events and Peacock channels.

When Are Peacock’s Prices Increasing?
Current users will not see a change in their billing amount until August 17th, 2024. After that date, the next billing cycle will reflect the new higher price point for the selected tier.
Peacock’s Impressive Lineup
Peacock hosts content from featured brands, including NBC, WWE, Hallmark, Bravo, and many more, making for a well-rounded title lineup that provides something for everyone in the family.
Overall, the content included justifies the cost increase, especially considering that the 2024 Paris Olympics will stream on Peacock beginning in July. With the rights to stream the Olympics, plus live games throughout the year, Peacock is an excellent choice for sports fans.
For those who prefer to watch sitcoms and films, Peacock’sPremium tier allows for offline viewing, making it the perfect companion for indulging in your favorite reruns on the go.
