It goes without saying that Sony is the biggest gaming company in the world. However, Sony is famous for gaming consoles. According toMordor Intelligence, mobile gaming is the most popular gaming platform.

This is most likely a result of people turning to mobile games to keep themselves entertained during COVID-19 pandemic-related lockdowns and the fact that mobile gaming is more accessible than other forms.

Following those initial lockdowns in 2021, the mobile gaming market was valued at $198.40 billion and is projected to be worth $339.95 billion by 2027. By establishing a mobile gaming division, it’s clear that Sony is making a strategic move to stay on top.
