While occasionally, there is an accurate leak on 4chan, it should be noted that there have also been plenty of inaccurate ones that stem from the wish fulfillment or sharing theories found elsewhere and stating them as fact.

The most notable comments were surrounding the starters themselves, with RaphaelSVW and others pointing out thatit’s unlikely Game Freak would use anotherGen 2 and 5 starter for aLegendstitleafter using the Gen 2 Pokémon Cyndaquil and Gen 5 Pokémon Oshawott from the previousPokémon Legends: Arceusgamealongside the Gen 7 Rowlet.
PokeRangerJack commented that Torchic seems unlikely as a starter as they already have a gimmick of evolving into a Mega Blazikenn, soit seems more likely that Game Freak would choose a Pokémon that didn’t if it was planning to introduce new mega evolutions inPokémon Legends: Z-A.Meanwhile, Rathalos168259 pointed out that there is no actual screenshot to back up these claims, further suggesting that they may not be accurate.
