Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Predator vs Black Panther #4!Predatorshave always been expert killers, especially while huntingXenomorphs. However, the Xenomorphs present a unique danger that Predators don’t experience with any other prey (like humans), making Xenomorphs decidedly more risky. But now, the Yautja have finally found a way to mitigate that risk immensely while hunting the ‘perfect organism’, as thePredatorfranchise just introducedthe perfect Xenomorph-killing weapon.

InPredator vs Black Panther#4 by Benjamin Percy, Chris Allen, Sean Damien Hill, and Lee Ferguson, the epic showdown between a rogue Predator clan and the deadliest warriors Wakanda has to offer finally comes to an end.A Predator and his clan travel to Earthin search of vibranium in order to become powerful enough to usurp the King Predator and rule over the Yautja species. However, he didn’t count on going up against Black Panther and his forces - though it’s fair to say the Wakandans didn’t count on encountering the Predators, either.

Before this final showdown, the Predators are successful in mining a mountain of vibranium from Wakanda and loading it onto their ship. Knowing that a species like this with access to that much vibranium would be detrimental to not only Earth, but the galaxy at large, Black Panther and his warriors board the ship within the vibranium mines to kill these Predators and take back what they stole. Unfortunately, the Predators are more than prepared for hostile stowaways, proven true when one of Black Panther’s warriors encounters an extremely deadly weapon: a remotely piloted plasma-casting drone.

Predator Drones are the Perfect Xenomorph-Killing Weapons

Drones Eliminate the Dangers of Killing Xenomorphs

The Predator inPredator vs Black Pantherpilots the drone from his wrist gauntlet, making this weapon as much a part of the Predator’s main arsenal as any other piece of tech the alien hunter uses (cloaking device, Plasma Caster, wrist-nuke, etc). That means there is no dishonor in using the drone during a hunt, just as there’s no dishonor in blasting a target from a distance with the Plasma Caster, or decimating an entire hunting ground to ensure the prey is killed with the wrist nuke.

Predators are incredibly particular about what constitutes an honorable hunt, so it’s important to clarify that this drone is not a dishonorable way of killing their prey, as it is directly connected to their wrist gauntlet and is therefore fair game. In other words, there’s no reason a Predator couldn’t use this drone to kill Xenomorphs. In fact, using the drone to do so would be a sign of the Predator’s intelligence, as this weapon effectively eliminates the two greatest hurdles a Predator faces during a Xenomorph hunt: a swarm and acid blood.

Prometheus' David Just Became The Greatest Threat To Marvel’s Multiverse AND The Alien Franchise (All In One Stunning Moment)

Alien’s David debuted in Prometheus, & since then, he’s become a multiversal threat on the precipice of destroying every universe, including Marvel’s.

In aone-on-one fight between a Predator and a Xenomorph, a Predator will more often than not come out on top. However, where a Predator runs into trouble is with the Xenomorph’s acid blood once it’s beaten, as well as the likelihood that a swarm of Xenomorphs isn’t far away if a Predator encounters one of them. Using a drone to kill Xenomorphs eliminates both of those risk factors, ensuring the kill without putting the Predator in danger. In other words, this drone is truly the Predators’ perfect Xenomorph-killing weapon.

Drones Might Be Perfect for Killing Xenomorphs, but Predators will Never Use Them

Killing Xenomorphs is Too Significant in Predator Culture to Use Drones

While it is true that the drone fromPredator vs Black Pantheris the perfect Xenomorph-killing weapon, and that a Predator would not be dishonoring themselves or their clan by using one, it’s also true that no self-respecting Predator ever would. To the Yautja, hunting Xenomorphs is about so much more than simply securing the kill, it’s a rite of passage known as the Blooding Ritual that marks a Predator’s transition from juvenile novice to mature hunter.

The Blooding Ritual dictates that aPredator hunts and kills a Xenomorphand then marks itself with the symbol of their clan with the alien’s acid blood. Killing Xenomorphs is how Predators prove that they are capable of going off on solo hunts, so doing it remotely with a drone isn’t an ideal method. Sure, a Predator could do it that way, since they’re also allowed every other weapon controlled by their wrist gauntlet, but it’s doubtful any Predator would opt to sit on the sidelines and let a drone do their killing for them during a Blooding Ritual.

Alien Finally Reveals the Ancient History of the Xenomorph - Theory Explained

The Xenomorph has been a mystery in Alien lore since its introduction in 1979, but now, the creature’s ancient history might have just been revealed.

However, just because a Predator with something to prove likely wouldn’t choose to use a drone to kill a Xenomorph doesn’t mean it’s not the best way to do it. A Predator can take on a horde of Xenomorphs remotely all by themselves with a drone, and there’d be nothing the Xenomorphs could do to combat it. That’s whyPredatorswho use drones during a hunt are deadlier (and smarter) than those who don’t, as it’s easily the perfectXenomorph-killing weapon.
