Summary
That ’90s Showhas a lot of similarities toThat ’70s Show, but it breaks one of Hyde’s biggest rules for The Circle. One of the most memorable aspects ofThat ’70s Showis the use of The Circle, which was a clever way the show got around drug censorship on cable television. AlthoughThat ’90s Showis a Netflix original and thus has fewer restrictions on censorship, The Circle and its gags continue inThat ’90s Show, although with some changes.
That ’90s Showcast and charactersvary differently from its predecessor,That ’70s Show, but the characters' past times remain relatively similar. ThroughoutThat ’70s Show,Hyde had established a set of rules that must be followed to keep The Circle a sacred activity. It makes sense that some rules for theThat ’90s ShowCircle sessions would be different given how different the characters are. Still,That ’90s Showpart twoshowed that there is one shocking rule that is vastly different between the two shows.

I Can’t Believe That ’90s Show Season 2 Is Still Ignoring A Huge Member Of Leia Forman’s Family

Nate & Nikki’s Breakup Goes Against Hyde’s Rules About Feelings In The Circle
Feelings Ruin The Vibe
The Circle is a place to de-stress. When Nate & Nikki broke up in part two ofThat ’90s Show, they were breaking a major Hyde rule of no talking about feelings in The Circle. The Circle is not a place to talk about feelings because it completely ruins the vibe. With all the laughing and meaningless conversations in The Circle, any heavy discussion would easily ruin everyone’s mood. The Circle is meant to be an escape from reality. Even though the sequel has manymissingThat ’70s Showcharacters, including Hyde, the sanctity of The Circle should remain.
Nate & Nikki’s fightwould have definitely disappointed Hyde, not because he would care about their relationship status, but becausethere is no talking about feelings in The Circle. It’s meant to be fun. Nate & Nikki break up in their first Circle together in part two ofThat ’90s Show, and immediately all the other characters in The Circle look at them with shocked faces, their giggly high gone. Hyde’s rules served a purpose. They were set so that The Circle could remain fun and so that no discussions on feelings would bring anyone down.

Nate & Nikki’s Circle Breakup Left Another Huge Mystery That Season 2 Never Solved
Who Went To The Concert?
That ’90s Showpart two left a few things uncertain about Nate & Nikki’s relationship, but one big mystery concerns who ended up going to the Spice Girls concert. Nikki originally got the tickets from Ozzie as an apology for keeping Leia and Nate’s kiss a secret, and was planning on going with Nate, but soon after, the couple break up. It’s unclear whether it’s just a continuity error that won’t be addressed or whether Nikki ended up taking someone else to the concert. This raises the possibility that she ended up taking Ozzie, since they were his tickets in the first place.
If Nikki goes to the concert with Nate, maybe things between them are more stable than they seem. But if she goes with Ozzie or another friend, maybe her and Nate are at different wavelengths about where they stand.

Hopefully,That ’90s Showseason 2 part twowill address this, as who Nikki takes could be an answer to how things stand between her and Nate. If Nikki goes to the concert with Nate, maybe things between them are more stable than they seem. But if she goes with Ozzie or another friend, maybe she and Nate are at different wavelengths about where they stand. IfThat ’90s Showdoesn’t address the concert, it could be brushed off as a part two mystery, but it has the potential to define Nate & Nikki’s relationship.
