How To Farm Metal Accelerant
The Sterile Land
One of the best places tofarm Metal Accelerant is the Sterile Land area, as it has a fair amount of resource boxes that are very close to the spawn point, and it is easy to run to them all and restart. There are alsonot very many enemies and no super dangerous ones, making it easier to grind without worrying too much about dying or fighting off hordes of enemies.
Hard mode might give youmore materialswhen you gather them, but you will get the same drops item-wise, no matter what difficulty you play at.

The best character to use for this isBunny inThe First Descendant, as she moves very quickly and can get frompoint A to point B the fastest. She is also fairly powerful andcan take out the enemies fast with her ultimateif you want to. Sometimes, you might get lucky and get a good drop from one of them.
The good news is that youshould unlock the Sterile Land earlyin your playthrough, making it easier to start grinding. You will not, however, want to farm the region but rather a specific area of it. This will make farming less daunting and make iteasier to reset and respawnthe items in the boxes.

The specificarea you want to farm is the Ironworks, and you’re able to generally just farm the first open area you come to before restarting, as there are a fair amount of boxes just in that area. The best way to restart is tochoose another area, fast travel there, and then fast travel back to the Ironworksin Sterile Land.YouTuber Mon Factsrecommends using Albion to respawn, and you can see the exact route he takes to farm the materials in his video.
Farming this route, you will also receive afair amount of the Superfluid item, which can be used for many of the same things the Metal Accelerant can. This will make it well worth the effort as you are farming two similar items at the same time. As you will see, it takesquite a lot of these materials to complete the research, so having an excellent place to grind without thinking much about it is key.
