I love incorporating new ways to learn into my daily routine. While I’ve had a Duolingo streak for over two years, I wanted to improve my general knowledge. Kinnu is an app that helped me with this. I can choose topics I want to read and learn about, from science to history!

Kinnu offers nearly every topic you can think of, and it’s available for both iOS and Android devices. I initially downloaded the app to learn about history, and I started with lessons on ancient civilizations like the Sumerians. From there, I eventually branched out to cover Medieval Civilizations, Ancient Rome, and the French Revolution.
You’ll find plenty of other history topics available, as well, like entire courses dedicated to the Cold War and Leonardo Da Vinci. There are more practical courses offering information on mental well-being, professional skills, and life skills, like managing personal finances.
All in all, Kinnu is agreat way to learn new things in bite-sized portions, just like these other websites. More importantly, the app is completely free to use.

Why I Enjoy Using Kinnu
As long as I spend five minutes daily, I can learn about almost any subject my heart desires for free. Kinnu provides reading lessons and then quizzes you on the information you read. There are reading spurts and questions mixed in throughout each lesson, so I stay engaged and don’t get too bored with lots of dense reading.
Also, there’s a Knowledge Bank where I can practice retaining information from previous lessons, encouraging lifelong learning. Kinnu even offers daily challenges that will test you on a certain topic to see how you stack up against other users. If you get one question wrong, though, you’ll lose automatically.

Kinnu offers an easy and fun way to learn about various subjects like history, science, and more. I enjoy keeping up with my Kinnu streak to refresh my memory on topics I learned back in school and dive into new topics. The app regularly adds new subjects, so even if a specific subject isn’t available yet, you’ll have something new to learn sooner rather than later.
