James Gunn’sCreature Commandoswill be released on Max soon, inaugurating theDCUwith the introduction of an eccentric team of anti-heroes.DC Comics' Creature Commandosare a team of WWII-era heroes designed as super soldiers. In the source material, the Creature Commandos have gone through several members, including the vampire Vincent Velcro, the werewolf Warren Griffith, and the Medusa-like Gorgon Dr. Myrna Rhodes, as well as next-generation members such as the mummy Aten and the amphibian creature Bogman.
In the DCU, the Creature Commandos will have a new line-up.Creature Commandos' star-studded voice castwill play Rick Flag Sr., Nina Mazursky, Dr. Phosphorus, Eric Frankenstein, the Bride, G.I. Robot, and Weasel.Creature Commandoswill tie into upcoming DCU projects such asSuperman,Waller, andPeacemakerseason 2, and all characters introduced in the animated series will be able to return, both in live-action and animated form, in any future DCU movie or show, played by the same actors.

Creature Commandos Will Have A Double Episode Premiere
Creature Commandoswill be available on Max on Thursday, December the 5th 2024, at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET, with a two-episode premiere. Max’s previous DC series,The Penguin, initially aired on Thursdays before moving to Sundays. This won’t be the case withCreature Commandos, which will air every Thursday without exception from December 5 to January 9.Creature Commandosepisode 1 will likely introduce the titular team, and episode 2 will likely raise the stakes for the rest of the series.
