The image was originally posted onHakushin, a wiki for HoYoverse and other action RPG gacha games, which also offers an early look at the new Bangboo’s stats and abilities. The Bangboo seems to have been leaked from the beta version ofZZZ’s 1.1 update. Although precious little is known about this Bangboo, its uniform identifies it as a member of New Eridu Public Security, the city’s official police force and, usually, a natural rival for Hollow Raiders. Players have already begun to speculate on its mechanics and identity, and even translate some of the Hakushin page devoted to it.

What The Leaks Say About ZZZ’s 1.1 Bangboo

On the English version of Hakushin and the original Reddit post, there’s very little data to be had about the new Bangboo. This is because it’s currently exclusive the beta version ofZZZ1.1, which is only available in Chinese; therefore, none of its new items, characters, or abilities have been translated yet.The 1.1 update is expected to go live around the world sometime in August, so players can expect to pull for the new S-Rank Bangboo sometime that month.

Here is what Disorder is in Zenless Zone Zero and how players can utilize the Attribute Anomaly system for tons of extra damage with different Agents.

However, some players have taken it upon themselves to attempt a translation of the Chinese-language Hakushin pagefor the new Bangboo. One user, azizulkaitokid, posted a translation of Hakushin’s complete rundown of the Bangboo’s abilities.

So, it appearsthe S-Rank Bangboo is framed as a police dog, who apparently becomes friendly to Hollow Raiders for one reason or another. Its attacks are mostly bite-centric, and have onomatopoeic names that evoke the sounds of a dog barking. It boosts the abilities of fellow members of PubSec, and other public agencies like the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team. But since there are no currently playable PubSec agents, this could mean more characters who belong to the faction are coming in the future.

A machine translation of the Bangboo’s name on the original Hakushin page returns “Atui’s inspection,” but this is likely subject to change. Since most Bangboo are named after their jobs or appearances, it’s possible the PubSec Bangboo’s name plays on “Inspector.”

Whatever the case, the Bangboo’s true nature and identity will probably remain secret for a while. Until then, speculation about this mysterious PubSec ally will likely abound. Players are free to start pulling for the new S-Rank Bangboo whenZenless Zone Zero’s 1.1 update drops, most likely in mid-August.
